For The Kids Media & Arts (FTK), is a Chicago-based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of black creatives through the transformative power of the arts.

Founded in 2021 in the heart of Chicago, our mission is to bridge the gap in access to arts education and opportunities for young black individuals in underserved communities. We firmly believe that every child deserves access to the arts regardless of their background or socioeconomic status, and FTK is committed to providing that access through a range of impactful initiatives, including after-school programming, mentorship, and training.

Through a holistic approach, FTK offers a comprehensive range of programs designed to nurture creativity, foster personal development, and cultivate talent. Our after-school programming provides a safe and inclusive space where children and teenagers can explore various artistic disciplines such as visual arts, music, theater, dance, and digital media.

In addition to our hands-on programming, FTK is committed to providing comprehensive training, mentorship and resources to equip young black creatives with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the arts industry. Through workshops, seminars, and professional development opportunities, we empower our participants to harness their creativity, develop their craft, and pursue their artistic passions professionally with confidence and determination.

FTK recognizes the transformative power of the arts in shaping young lives and building vibrant communities. By providing access to quality arts education and mentorship, we strive to cultivate the next generation of black creatives who will inspire, innovate, and make a lasting impact on the cultural landscape of Chicago and our world!

Join us in our mission to empower and uplift the voices of tomorrow's artists. Together, we can create a future where every child has the opportunity to explore their creativity, express themselves authentically, and forge their own path in the world of the arts. Together, we can inspire, educate, and elevate our community, one young artist at a time.
